VEGETABLES & PLANT BEDS
Using MoistEarth granules apply 12-45 pounds per 1,000 square feet at 4-6" depth cultivation. Use less for drier plants and more for moisture loving plants. After planting, a good coat of mulch will cover any loose granules, protecting the granules from premature degradation which is caused by exposure to excessive sunlight.

POTTED PLANTS - PLANTS IN CONTAINERS
Using MoistEarth granules for: 4" pot 1/6 tsp.; 6" pot 1 tsp.; 8" pot 2 tsp.; 10" pot 3 tsp. It is best to have most of the granules placed toward the bottom of the pot so it will better absorb available water. If applying hydrated granules, use 4 parts soil to 1 part hydrated granules. If transplanting be sure to dig holes at least three times the size of the container and incorporate granules through out the area. After transplanting, create a dam around the tree or if on a slope leave the top side open to collect water thus allowing a water reservoir to be readily absorbed by the granules.

*Keep Plants Hydrated During Shipping:
You must give your plants a supply of moisture to travel with or they will die in transit. Follow your current instructions or preferences - "Now" you can use hydrated granules to replace water alone , give granules only half the water they normally absorb (Be sure to drain off excess water, if any). MoistEarth hydrated granules will make shipping easy for Live plants, Aquarium Plants, Herbs, House plants, Shrubs, Trees, Bare root plants and Stock. Additionally you may want to test sweating your plants with MoistEarth.
