|
Absorbent crystals
can release up to 95% of the water absorbed and make it available
to the plants. 1 pound can absorb/release up to 40 gallons of
distilled or rain water and to 31 gallons of tap water.
This product has been
determined non-hazardous by 29 CFR 1910.1200 (OSHA Hazard Communication
Standard). Handle with good hygiene and safety; It is non-toxic,
ecologically neutral, will not harm plants, grass or soil;.It breaks down after its useful
working life (5 to 7 years) to water, carbon dioxide (CO2) and
nitrogen. While non-toxic it should never be consumed or taken
internally in either its granule or its gel forms, it should
not be given to pets or used by children without adult upervision.

Thoroughly mix in media
at a rate of 4 tsp. per cubic foot. |

|
Established Lawns
The crystals must be
tilled into the soil. crystals cannot be applied to the surface
of an existing lawn. Exposure will dry them-up in a short time.
|
|
|
|
Fertilizing Reduce the recommended amounts by at-least half.
Don't add plant food directly onto the crystals without 1st diluting
with water. Rain or distilled are preferable. |
|
|
|
Note: If
applying 'dry' crystals it is better to under distribute. 'Dry
crystals need to be worked into the ground to provide equal distribution.
Do not allow hydrated crystals to remain above ground as sunlight
will hasten their breakdown to its primary elements of ammonia,
carbon dioxide, & water. |

Application
rates vary based on the type of soil, region and type of plant.
Usually, clay soils require less MoistEarth crystals. Sandy soils
require more. Arid regions subject to heat and drought require
more water MoistEarth crystals. While wet, cool regions require
less When applying MoistEarth crystals dry, The crystals should
be worked into the ground for equal distribution. an important
point is, less is almost always better.
VEGETABLES & PLANT BEDS
Using MoistEarth crystals apply 12-45 pounds per 1,000 square
feet at 4-6" depth cultivation. Use less for drier plants
and more for moisture loving plants. After planting, a good coat
of mulch will cover any loose crystals, protecting the crystals
from premature degradation which is caused by exposure to excessive
sunlight.
POTTED PLANTS - PLANTS IN CONTAINERS
Using MoistEarth crystals for: 4" pot 1/6 tsp.; 6"
pot 1 tsp.; 8" pot 2 tsp.; 10" pot 3 tsp. It is best
to have most of the crystals placed toward the bottom of the
pot so it will better absorb available water. If applying hydrated
crystals, use 4 parts soil to 1 part hydrated crystals. If transplanting
be sure to dig holes at least three times the size of the container
and incorporate crystals through out the area. After transplanting,
create a dam around the tree or if on a slope leave the top side
open to collect water thus allowing a water reservoir to be readily
absorbed by the crystals. |
